Brixham
Brixham is at the southern end of Torbay & is primarily a large fishing port that is still active today.
In the 1800's as many as 250 vessels fished out of Brixham, from large trawlers to inshore boats, employing over 1,500 people.
Brixham has plenty of history to in the lee of Berry Head, famous for its Napoleonic connections, its lighthouse and magnificent limestone cliffs, overlooking Torbay, Brixham is popular with painters and holidaymakers.
One of Brixhams most popular tourist attractions is the replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship the Golden Hind that is moored in the harbor.
There's plenty of parking for visitors here and great views to enjoy.
